Ready or not, here they come
By now you’ve probably heard about the new Gmail and Yahoo standards for email senders coming this February. TL;DR: Email senders who do not use an authenticated sending domain run the risk of not reaching the inbox and landing in spam instead. While this will impact bulk email senders, even lower volume senders should take precautions like:
- Implement stronger email authentication practices
- Provide an easy way to unsubscribe in one click
- Monitor spam complaint rates to stay below specific thresholds
We know this is a lot of information and comes with a lot of acronyms, so we’ve detailed just how you can prepare for the changes. Or you can pass this off to someone else on your team that will find it helpful.
